研究方向

經過多年來的努力,我們不僅發展建立了目前獨步國內評估代謝性症候群和糖尿病的黃金標準方法(Gold standard),包括評估活體胰島素敏感性的euglycemic hyperinsulinemic clamp technique with tracer dilution method和活體胰臟胰島素分泌功能的hyperglycemic clamp technique,相關研究技術均已達國際一流水準,我們亦已建立評估骨骼肌之葡萄糖代謝速率和胰島素分泌細胞功能的離體功能性定量的實驗模式,目前都有具體的成果,我們亦同時發展使用多種發炎相關基因剔除及基因轉殖鼠模式,配合多項分子生物學的實驗技術real-time PCR、Western Blotting、ELISA、flow cytometry、immunocytochemical staining、co-culture、in vitro and in vivo RNAi knockdown和 inducible gene overexpression等,以進一步探討其細胞間和細胞內作用機轉,朝建立肥胖,代謝性症和糖尿病的動物研究中心的理想邁進,迄今我們發表的相關研究成果提供進一步的證據,有助於釐清肥胖及糖尿病之胰島素抗性與其相關症候群的交互關係以及其形成的可能病因,並提供相關疾病治療上的重要參考,除此之外,為擴展生理學在轉譯醫學的應用,我們亦朝與臨床新陳代謝科和產學研的合作上,在生技醫藥國家型計畫及經濟部科專計畫的目標導向研究方向上做進一步的推展,希望能建立國內基礎及臨床有關代謝症候群的藥物和診斷試劑最完整的開發平台。
