由於COVID-19的爆發以及台灣過去兩週的疫情狀況，在經過慎重的考量過後，大會決定原訂於2021年8月17-21日舉辦的「2021 ARIS & NCAR研討會」將全面改為線上舉行。
這樣的決定是為了避免傳統會議上面對面的互動，同時也是為了遵循台灣中央流行疫情指揮中心的相關規範以保障會議參與者的健康安全。
研討會重要事項更新如下：
1. 「2021 ARIS & NCAR研討會」改訂於2021年8月18-19日採線上會議方式舉行，線上會議使用之平台將於近期公布。
2. 取消原定於2021年8月17日舉辦的工作坊以及2021年8月21日的TAIROS參訪行程。
3. 投稿截止日期將延長至2021年6月15日。
4. 研討會註冊費將調整為原始費用之5折。
雖然疫情在未來的一段時間內會影響我們的日常生活，但無庸置疑的是，我們依然會透過科學、科技、工程與數學等素養與方法，持續創新並探究這世界。
俗話說 : 團結力量大！讓我們在今年虛擬會議的形式下，依然能讓彼此拉近距離、共同合作與茁壯，以呈現我們致力於機器人相關研究領域的決心！
2021 台灣智慧型機器人研討會(NCAR 2021)將於2021年8月17日至20日假台北南港展覽館舉行，敬邀於前瞻智慧型機器人及智慧型系統相關研究成果之專家踴躍投稿。本研討會提供優質的機器人技術交流平台，期望邀集全國機器人與智慧型系統領域的學術以及產業界菁英，進行學術性以及技術性的交流，更可以促進產業間合作與產學合作的機會。此研討會之主題包含但不限於以下先進機器人與智慧型系統領域之研究:
